As a general rule, most food businesses in Victoria, Queensland, NSW and the ACT will require at least one designated Food Safety Supervisor per location. Every food organisation in Australia also has a responsibility to make sure their staff are properly trained in food hygiene and safety. Food organisations includes those within aged and community care facilities.
The nationally recognised Food Safety Supervisor course will be approved to meet all state legislative requirements including for NSW, QLD, VIC and ACT. The Food Handler course will be recommended for all food workers and is designed to meet federal requirements for food safety training. We will also provide an Introduction to Food Safety course, which is an entry level course designed to teach the basic skills and knowledge needed to handle food safely.
